This was a consulting assignment with a private equity company who owned and operated a landfill gas to pipeline gas company. The assignment was to improve the plant efficiencies and improve gas flow from the landfills. The plant efficiencies were improved via a multi point program that involved control strategy changes, flare gas changes, process cycle improvements, condensate management changes and front end clean up improvements. Negotiated four projects with the landfill that were implemented to increase the gas flow including a water pumping program. Also assisted with the selection of a buyer of company and helped negotiate the purchase and sale agreement. As part of the P&S agreement, put together a scope and cost estimate to replace several sections of the gas pipeline to comply with PHMSA requirements.
Consultant on retainer with NRG when they were looking into getting into the solar business. Worked with them to develop two 10MW solar PV projects located on their large caseload power plant sites in Texas. Negotiated the EPC contracts with First Solar and performed the internal financial analysis for the projects.
In addition to the solar work, wrote a cogeneration contract for a project at a New Jersey customer. Also provided NRG with input to a biomass co firing project at one of their New York coal generators.

INVESTOR CONFERENCE in NYC
ENERGY EFFICIENCY AUDIT
Hosted an investor conference in NYC to talk about the state of the solar industry and the yieldcos. The talk was followed by a Q&A session.
Performing an energy audit for a New Jersey company. Primary focus is to improve the distribution warehouse lighting and controls. In addition, we are also looking at improvements in the company's battery charging system and heating system.
RENEWABLE FUEL PROGRAM
Developed a renewable fuel program based on landfill gas for an investment banking firm. Program included outline for the transaction and broker contacts to monetize the RINS.
